There's a new type of portraiture that's gaining in popularity. Some call it Trash the Dress, others call it Day After or Just Married sessions. We like to call it Rock the Dress. The session can be with just the bride or with the bride and groom. Maybe your wedding day was a bit hectic and you didn't have enough time for bride and groom portraits. Perhaps you LOVE your wedding dress and want some artistic shots (with you wearing it again!) in a location other than your wedding venues. Think woods, beach, old farm, downtown Minneapolis - the possibilities are endless.
Snowfrog Photography is currently offering these Trash the Dress, Rock the Dress, Day After sessions at a very attractive price. We love shooting them as much as our newlyweds love doing them. Please contact me for more information.

The Little Album that Stole Our Hearts • MiniBooks
I can't say enough good - no great - things about our regular sized Fine Art and Signature Albums. However, I have to admit that the MiniBook is my favorite. It's a smaller version of a Fine Art Album, made with the same care and designer options as a full sized album. These Mini Books make great parent albums, brag books, or gifts for members of the wedding party.

Preview Minneapolis Wedding • Kerry + Tom
When we met with Kerry and Tom last fall for a consultation, we knew that we'd get along fabulously. They chose the Mill City Museum for their wedding ceremony and reception. What a wonderful place, for both a unique wedding and a local outing. Needless to say, we'd been looking forward to Kerry and Tom's wedding all winter long. We're still processing most of their wedding images, but wanted to share a few with everyone.

Introducing Boudoir Sessions!
If you're not familiar with boudoir sessions, you've been missing out on a growing trend. Boudoir means bedroom in French and refers to sensuous, flirty, and classy portraiture. Many brides are scheduling boudoir sessions and giving their fiances "a little black book" of photos on their wedding day. Other popular reasons to schedule a session include a husband's birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Of course, you don't need a special occasion. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful and confident, no matter her age or body type. The sessions are fun, liberating, and self-esteem boosting. Please contact me if you would like more information.

Minneapolis Engagement Photographer • Amber + Erik
Let me start by saying how much I love doing engagement sessions. I have a great time, the couple has a great time, and they get a collection of their casual portraits on disc. So, I was already looking forward to Amber and Erik's engagement session - and then they said they wanted to shoot it in February. They made my day because I've really wanted to shoot a winter e-session. It offers special opportunities and lighting not available with spring or summer sessions. We really had a perfect winter day with warm weather and beautiful light. Here are just a few of my favorites...

Our Signature albums are handmade, custom, top-of-the-line, works of art. These gorgeous albums feature photographic prints mounted on thick pages, flushmount binding and lay flat pages. Cover materials range from textured fabrics to top grain Italian leathers, two-tone covers, and large metallic cameos. Our sample album is a 10x10 two tone with pearl + matte black leather and a brilliant metal cameo. The album pages are photographic metallic prints. Let me know if you'd like to look through this album in person.

New Engagement & Wedding Albums • Fine Art Albums
I'm very excited to introduce our new album lineup for 2010. Our sample albums are absolutely beautiful and we're thrilled with the quality, as it is truly top notch. This is a Fine Art album, which features thick, lay flat pages and your choice of gloss, linen, or pearl paper. There are numerous cover materials and options to choose from. The photos below are of a 8x8 engagement album with a leather and metal cameo cover. The last image shows the size difference between a 8x8 and a 10x10 album.

Minneapolis Wedding Photographer • Anthony + Naomi
We meet and get to know the nicest people while photographing weddings. Anthony and Naomi make a wonderful couple and we're thankful to have met them and been a part of their day. Here are a few images from their wedding in downtown Minneapolis last November.

New Wedding Albums Are Here!
I think I jumped for joy and did a little dance when I saw the UPS box on my front porch. It felt like I'd been waiting for months and months and finally they were here. I selected a new album company at the end of the year, after falling in love with their quality, looks, and options. I really can't say enough wonderful things about them. You really have to see them in person, but I'll be adding some photos of them to the blog soon.

Saint Paul Engagement Photographer • Tina + Paul
You never know where an engagement portrait session might take you. In this case, Tina and Paul wanted to do their shoot at Summit Brewery and we thought it was a great idea! Of course, their session wasn't complete until we got some great photos outside, too.
